The Contactless Technologies Innovation Center aims to provide high-level technological resources, access to experiment platforms and prototyping test facilities.

The experiments will help validate the R&D elements in the field of the “Internet of Things”, to test new services, and to validate the Industrial penetration, the simplicity of usage and a Return on Investment for new technology.

The development of contactless technologies and intelligent objects will increase the mass of electronic waste. It will become harder and harder and more expensive to separate the electronic components from household waste for recycling purpose.

The electronic waste management and the degradability of electronic components should be integrated in the early stage of the process, from the imagination, invention and design of the technology and should be integrated in the lifecycle of the product.

Appropriate information on the ethical level, respect of individual privacy, as well as the sanitary dimension and consumers' associations will be diffused.
